ACES, or N-(2-Acetamido)-2-aminoethanesulfonic acid, can be used to study biological buffers and zwitterionic compounds. ACES has been used in a study to determine the levels of ibuprofen and flurbiprofen in pharmaceuticals by capillary zone electrophoresis.
